Changing Directions Community Development Corporation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the empowerment of the youth of Clark County. Our primary mission is to provide resources to any and all social services programs that are licensed and registered in Las Vegas/ Clark County that target youth 1 to 21 years of age. Our assistance is not limited to youth only; anyone in need of our services will be considered. We operate a thrift store (Changing Directions Thrift Store) located at 2540 E. Charleston Blvd that sells quality used furniture, clothes, electronics, televisions, tool, toys, paintings, collectibles, antiques, and much more at very low prices. The store is open 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Saturday. A portion of the Proceeds generated by the thrift store are donated to assist other nonprofits. Excess inventory is donated to other charitable organizations. Some of the programs that we have donated to are; Child Haven, Shade Tree, Salvation Army, Big Brothers – Big Sisters, U.S. Vets, H.E.L.P. of Southern Nevada, Nevada Partners, Catholic Charities and Nevada Community Learning Centers (formerly Classrooms On Wheels). We offer to partner with all legitimate local organizations that can use our assistance. If you have a need that you think we can help with, feel free to contact us at (702)360-3191. Founded by R.L. Brown in 2006, because of a God inspired vision, we start with the younger people to lend a hand in eliminating the vicious cycle of addiction, poverty, homelessness, and the neglect of the mentally ill through education, service, example, support, and love.
Our Thrift Store is stocked by the generous donations of the citizens of Las Vegas and the special gifts of A ESTATE LIQUIDATORS owned by Larry and Kathy Rheineker. Proceeds go to daily operation and funding our other programs, (see Service List)
